Prioritising health and welfare

25 March 2020

At Audit New Zealand, we are committed to complying with the Government’s decision, to raise the COVID-19 alert level to 4.

Our offices are closed and our people are working remotely. We are constantly assessing the situation to ensure we’re doing all we can to protect them, their families, our clients, and our wider communities.

We are strictly following all Ministry of Health advice and working with clients to deliver our audit and assurance services in ways that take everyone’s circumstances into account. Please do let us know how we can work with you.

Remaining flexible

We understand that it may take time to work out what the level 4 alert means for your organisation. We will be collaborating with our clients, to establish how we can adapt our approach in response to this.

We are actively supporting clients’ efforts to protect their staff; ensuring our people have a range of communication tools, so they can stay in touch remotely. This might mean guiding you through an assessment, tasks or other material.

Together, and by continuing to talk about new developments, we can adjust to new priorities and maintain the trusted relationships that make our work possible.

Staying healthy

People’s welfare is our paramount concern.

Staff are strictly following all Ministry of Health guidance, cancelling all client and internal events, and using online alternatives for training or meetings. Our people are also encouraged to use these channels to support, and stay connected with, each other.

We will continue to plan and prioritise our work as things develop, so we can act quickly to ensure that everyone stays as safe as possible.
