Nicol joined Audit New Zealand in 2013 as an Audit Manager and took up the role of Associate Director, Specialist Audit and Assurance Services in 2018.
Her recent experience includes:
- reviewing procurement and contract management policy, guidance, and practices;
- reviewing procurement processes in real time and retrospectively;
- supporting audits of local authorities’ long-term plans, by reviewing their asset management practices.
Before joining Audit New Zealand, Nicol was a senior lecturer and worked for the Office of the Auditor-General in South Africa.
Nicol has a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (Accounting) and a Master of Taxation. She is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. She is a PRINCE2 and MoP Project Management Practitioner.
