Asset Management and long-term planning Procurement and contract management Martin is a Chartered Surveyor by profession, and he spent 10 years working on mapping and civil engineering projects across the UK. Martin is the main author of the Asset Management and long-term planning report.
Andrea Reeves
Andrea Reeves, Assistant Auditor-General, Local Government, the Office of the Auditor-General
Looking forward to the 2018-28 long-term plans Andrea heads the Office's Local Government group, which is responsible for managing the Office's relationships with the local government, environment, and energy sectors, and Parliament's Local Government and Environment Committee. 
Stephen Walker
Stephen Walker, Executive Director, Audit New Zealand
Welcome Having begun his career at Audit New Zealand Steve returned to take up his role as Executive Director. Prior to that Steve was based in New York as the Director of Operations for the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

Steve is currently Vice President of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Melanie Webb
Melanie Webb, Assistant Auditor-General, Legal, the Office of the Auditor-General
Conflicts of interest in the public sector Melanie joined the Office of the Auditor-General in October 2015. She heads the Office’s Legal Group, which provides legal advice and support across all aspects of the work of the Office of the Auditor-General and Audit New Zealand.  Melanie has held various policy and legal roles within the New Zealand public sector since 1994.
Miles Workman,
Analyst at the Treasury
Economic outlook Miles is an Analyst in the Forecasting team at Treasury, where he contributes to the economic and tax forecasts presented in Treasury’s Economic and Fiscal Updates. He gave us an economic and budget update.
Paul Helm
Paul Helm, Head of Accounting, The Treasury
Strategic financial management and the finance development programme Paul has held his current role – Head of Government Finance Profession and Chief Government Accountant – since October 2014.  He is focused on skills development in strategic financial management across the public service and helping finance teams achieve their potential.

He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand, CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Amy Hamilton, Manager Technical, Audit New Zealand Financial reporting update Amy has been Manager Technical in our Professional Practice Group since July 2015. Amy began her career in our Dunedin office as an Assistant Auditor in early 2010. Her current role involves providing technical advice, support resources, and training to auditors at all levels.
Stephen Connolly, Port of Otago with Andy Burns and Amanda Nicholls, Audit New Zealand Simplifying the annual report
Paul O’Neil, General Counsel, Serious Fraud Office Fraud and what to watch out for Paul O'Neil joined the Serious Fraud Office as General Counsel in December 2016. Prior to this appointment, he was the Head of Enforcement at the Financial Markets Authority responsible for overseeing conduct of the FMA's civil and criminal proceedings.
Alan Clifford
Alan Clifford, Director, Information Systems Audit and Assurance, Audit New Zealand
Cyber security Alan leads our national Information Systems Audit and Assurance team. He provides a range of information technology audit and consultancy services including: project assurance; information technology operational effectiveness reviews; benchmarking exercises; support to internal audit functions; and risk management reviews. He has over 25 years of information technology and consultancy experience.
