Wikus took up his role as Audit Director on 19 October 2020. He began his career at the Auditor-General of South Africa and joined Audit New Zealand as an Assistant Manager from 2008-2010.
Before joining Audit New Zealand again in 2020, Wikus continued his career at the Auditor-General of South Africa as Senior Manager before progressing to be a Deputy Business Executive. He was mainly responsible for auditing a variety of large profit-orientated public entities.
Wikus’ portfolio includes:
- the energy sector;
- district health boards;
- waste management; and
- Crown entities.
